"lovely hotel"
We have just arrived home after a week in the Dream Castle Hotel - We arrived at the hotel after getting on the VEA coach outside CDG airport. The hotel is huge with a lovely garden with a lake at the bottom with 20lb plus carp in it (i recommend that you take left over bread from breakfast to feed them). Our girls age 6 and 2 were delighted by the bunk beds in the lovely room. Waiting in our room were cakes, Evian bottled water and free cans of drink in the fridge which was a nice unexpected touch. The hotel is clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We took a travel kettle after checking out trip advisor and reading that there wasn't one, however didn't need it as there is one now with tea, coffee etc too. Pillows are not very adequate. We asked for more and they arrived quickly Pool was freezing, but the children loved it, jacuzzi was warm. There is a good selection for breakfast but it can get a bit boring with no variation & is hectic to say the least. We had the buffet dinner three evenings and found it no more pricey than the disney village and better quality from our experience. Shuttles to Disney are fequent fom the hotel but madness sometimes it is better to get a taxi back especially after the late parade and at around 10 euros it is well worth it. We popped in to the other nearby hotels for a wander and felt that the Dream Castle was by far the best.

"A great hotel"
Booked a 4 night stay here with a little trepidation after having read some bad reviews and was glad that I did book! We have stayed at a lot of the Disneyland Paris official hotels and this hotel is as good as any of them. The rooms are a decent size (actually larger than the ones at Newport Bay) and my kids loved the novelty of sleeping in the bunkbeds. The hotel was themed nicely and check-in was easy as the kids were able to play on the table hockey, etc. whilst smaller kids were kept happy in the ball pool and on the small rides or looking in the small gift shop. The restaurant was great - ate there for dinner and the buffet had a huge choice and was reasonably priced. Breakfast was much less of a bun fight than at the Disney hotels and whilst it was obviously still busy, was much less stressful than other hotels we have stayed at. A good choice too and hot food was a bonus. The bus trip from the hotel to Disney was good - once again busy but then we expected that and just joined in the European way of not queing and using elbows to get in! Room service was good and when staff forgot one of the items we had ordered, they came back right away with the right thing. On booking the hotel, I had requested rooms in the quiet wing and on the ground floor as my father has an aversion to lifts and everything was as it should be - in fact, when the TV didn't seem to be working, a maintenance man was with us in 5 minutes. One tip - if you are a prolific tea drinker like I am, go to reception and get a kettle as there is not one in the room. You have to put down a deposit but that was no hassle and hot cuppas were much appreciated in the room - you might want to buy yourself a Disney mug to use as the hotel provided two small plastic cups as a starter, but again that was no problem. We also borrowed an ironing board and adaptor plug from reception, both of which needed deposits put down for them. So, I would readily recommend this hotel to anyone! Good service, great rooms, good food and transport to Disney. Much better value and just as fast to get into the park as the official Disney hotels.

"Lovely comfortable hotel - shame about food"
Stayed for 7 nights 2-10 Aug 07. Lovely hotel, we had a really large comfortable room which was well equipped and really well cleaned each day. Had 4 large bath towels, slippers, bathrobes, kettle, fridge. After checking in and a short visit to Disney Parks we returned to find a personalised welcome letter, dish of petit fours, bottle of chilled water, four cans of soft drinks and a bowl of fruit - a really nice welcome gesture. Everyone in the hotel was really friendly - I don't think we ever passed by anyone without a Bonjour/Bonsoir greeting. The food was another matter - it wasn't awful and at breakfast there is a really great selection of fruit, cereals, salads, croissant, cold meat, dried fruit & nuts etc - no complaint if you like continental breakfast - but I like a good English breakfast - and this was awful. I couldn't even try the baked beans because they were sort of a beige colour - and the scrambled eggs were runny - not sure if they were not completely cooked or had been mixed with something else ?milk. It was the same selection every day - the breakfast even at Butlins is far superior. The only other items were fried pototoes and bacon. I originally thought I would eat a large breakfast then wouldn't have to spend too much on lunch - but I couldn't fill myself up on what was on offer. I tried the buffet food in the evening - again great selection. I did'nt think it was too bad really. I did get a bit fed up with the restaurants in Disney Village after a while - its all steak, chicken & ribs - but then I did stay for 7 days. Rainforest Cafe is great and King Ludwig's Castle was lovely. I used to get the shuttle bus from the bus station to Hotel Sante Fe - there is a petrol station & shop just outside it - they sell bread, ham, cheese etc so you can keep it in the fridge in your room and make lunch to take to the Parks with you - saves money - Disneyland is so expensive. Bring some sandwich bags with you. Take the shuttle from Sante Fe back to the bus station and then on to Dream Castle - no hassle really. My son (aged 7) actually much preferred Disney Studios - the stunt show is brilliant. His favourite thing was the Wild West show - brilliant but expensive - 1 adult & 1 child was over 90 euros! - free food & beer & great atmosphere. Don't miss trip to Designer Outlet- there's a shuttle bus from hotel which they will arrange for you 5 euros adult 3 euros child for return trip. There's a huge shopping centre as well and lovely places to eat (we ate in Hippopotamus - brilliant food!). All in all lovely holiday and lovely hotel. It does feel very luxurious. Don't let the food put you off !
